On March 18, 2022, the Locks Gates and Bridges project with a total weight of 11,000 tons, fabricated by PJOE, was delivered. This project includes four lock gates with a single weight of about 1,900 tons, two Bridges with a single weight of about 1,200 tons and a series of auxiliary structures.
The project is the first in China to implement EN1090 EXC4 standard, with high grade requirements and strict tolerance control on construction dimensions.
The project will be used for the lock reconstruction in the Ghent-Terneuzen section of the Rotterdam-Paris inland waterway in Western Europe to provide more efficient and convenient access for large vessels.
